Dear Parents, Carers and Visitors,

A very warm welcome to Bury College Education Trust (BCET).

Thank you for taking the time to browse our website. I hope that you find it informative and that it answers any questions you may have.

My name is David Stephens and I feel truly privileged to be the CEO/Trust Leader of BCET, overseeing three wonderful schools, each unique and contextually different, but all united by a shared aspiration to ensure that all learner's across our family of schools receive the best possible education in their formative years.

Each of our schools continually works hard to build upon their individual strengths and to address areas for development in what is an ever changing and challenging educational climate.

At BCET we have high expectations for all our learner's and set challenging targets for them. Every student is encouraged to reach their full potential and we recognise that everyone is special and has their own unique contributions to make.

Our staff are dedicated, hardworking and experienced. We provide a safe, calm and caring atmosphere within all our schools and foster a hardworking ethos based on an enjoyment of learning within stable environments.

We are pleased to offer a varied selection of enrichment and enhancement opportunities and possess excellent links with our diverse communities – as a trust, we are very proud of our reputation of delivering an excellent education within warm, welcoming, family-orientated schools.

Our trust board members, governors and staff continually seek the views of parents, carers and visitors to all our schools.  We recognise that parents play an important role in the education of their children and as such, we welcome your support and co-operation in making your child’s time during their primary years as enjoyable and productive as possible.

We encourage parents and carers to be involved in all aspects of school life and to discuss any concerns or issues with us. All members of staff will value discussing any aspect of your child’s education and general welfare.

We have an aspiration for all our students, that through their school journey they will fulfil their academic potential and become successful lifelong learners. In addition, we endeavour that all our learner's will possess high levels of both social and emotional intelligence so that they are well placed to succeed and thrive in the future, becoming active and productive members of society.

Our website is only a glimpse of what we feel makes BCET distinctive. The best way for you to appreciate what we can offer your child is to experience any one of our schools first hand. I do hope that you will visit us to meet our students and staff and to experience life first hand at our unique settings.
